Works well

So far very happy with this steamer. I don’t like that the basket is plastic and only used it with the basket once to see how well it worked and it did. I really wanted a bowl with a lid for the microwave that is entirely glass. This feels sturdy and works well. I regularly cook vegetables in the microwave (broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, etc.). I add some water to the bottom, and it holds the moisture in perfectly. It definitely takes longer than plastic but only a couple of minutes so it’s worth it. Also I love that I can use it for storage. I do let it cool a little before putting in the fridge but have put it in a little warm and it’s been fine. Haven’t tried the freezer yet.

Works great despite insert

I was going to send it back because I didn't like the plastic insert but it cooked a zucchini just perfect and the carrots too and it was so easy to use . It's a little heavy. I hope the insert lasts. The seller says it will be no problem so we'll see. I would like to know more about the plastic insert.
