Very nice quality for some great fermenting
I've been fermenting for a couple of years now, and this Glolaurge 1.8-liter glass jar has quickly become my go-to for larger batches. The clear, thick lead-free glass feels sturdy and premium, and at 1.8 liters, it's the perfect size - not too small for a family batch of sauerkraut or kimchi, but still manageable in the fridge once fermentation is done. The wide 3.6-inch mouth makes packing in shredded cabbage (or whatever veggies you're using) a breeze - no more struggling to stuff things down. Cleaning is straightforward too: everything (except the airlock) is dishwasher safe, and the removable parts make it mess-free.What really stands out is the 3-piece airlock system - it works flawlessly for hands-free gas release. No more daily burping jars! Just set it up, and it vents CO2 while keeping oxygen out, which means less risk of mold or off flavors. The heavy glass fermentation weight (10-13 oz with that handy built-in handle) keeps everything nicely submerged under the brine - crucial for consistent results. I've never had floaters or uneven fermentation with this setup.I've made several batches of sauerkraut and kimchi in it, and they turn out great every time - crisp, tangy, and full of probiotic goodness. The airtight silicone seal and stainless steel clamp make it truly leak-proof, and once the ferment is ready, you just swap the airlock for the regular cap and pop it in the fridge. It also works beautifully for other ferments like hot sauce, pickles, or even small batches of mead/cider if you're into that.If you're a beginner or an experienced fermenter looking for reliable, high-quality equipment without the hassle, this kit delivers. Highly recommend - it's made my fermentation game so much easier and more enjoyable!

Great for make fermentation food at home
These fermentation jars are very handy for home pickle and vegetable fermentation, making it easy to prepare fermented foods with minimal effort. The wide mouth design allows for easy filling and cleaning, while the included airlock lids help release gas automatically and prevent contamination, creating a stable fermentation environment. The glass construction is solid and food-safe, and having two jars is convenient for running multiple batches at once. A practical and user-friendly set for anyone interested in simple home fermentation.

Even beginners can do this with this set
Let me start by saying that I have never used fermentation jars before and have never been done any canning before so I am reviewing this as somebody completely uneducated about how to do this. The user guide that comes with these fermentation jars is awesome! The pictures are very clear to see what you were doing and the verbiage is also easy to understand. I am actually Amazed by how little work this process really takes. It comes with The airlock and there is a whole section That explains What that is And how it works which Essentially is A gas escape. Little manual also covers other things such as temperatures for fermenting, salt and brine, what kinds of salt to use, and other things that will really help you to get started including mistakes to avoid.I also find these jars very very pretty And they have the Rubber Air seals Also and the Pretty decorative Lids As well as the ones that Fasten onto the jar. These are pretty good size jars, about the size of the big family size jar of pickles, 1.7 L. They can be used for fermenting but they can also be used for storing Dry Goods since they are airtight.I recommend this set of Fermentation jars For beginners like myself or for experienced people with this Process. I am very happy that I got them and will be experimenting with many different things as this year goes on. Happy fermenting!

Just add cabbage and salt!
Articles online make fermentation out to be something that requires a ton of weird gear, but I remember my grandmother making sauerkraut in the basement with just a crock, cabbage, and salt. These are a little more advanced since they have the airlock that allows the bacterial "toots" to escape, while preventing any undesired yuckies getting in. These are all you really need aside from the food you want to ferment.I started a batch of sauerkraut this morning, which is literally just cabbage and 2% of the cabbage's weight in salt, shredded and then smashed down as hard as you can into this jar. The wide mouth of this jar made the smashing much easier and eliminated the need to use a separate bowl, since I could fit my fist right inside the jar.The jars came with documentation of some FDA testing, which I likely could have independently verified online if I was concerned (I wasn't). There are some extra silicone stoppers included as well, in case any go missing or rip or something. Since there are two, you can basically have infinite sauerkraut - or whatever else you're fermenting - if you time it so that one is fermenting while you're refrigerating and eating the other. If you want to start enjoying the probiotic benefits of home-fermented foods that are not stored in plastic, these are a great place to get started for a reasonable price.

Complete kit that's perfect for beginners
Everything you need to start fermenting is right here. The glass feels heavy-duty, and having the airlocks and weights included makes the process foolproof. I’ve already started a batch of sauerkraut, and the wide mouth makes it very easy to pack everything down. Great value for a set of two.

Well made
These jars are perfect. Easy to clean and put together. Instructional booklet is included as well. The little weight fits so easily in the jar. The seals work perfectly and so far I haven’t had any issues.Jars are the perfect size for smaller batches as well. The only thing i wish was different was the mouth of the jars. While I can easily fit my hand in someone with larger hands would definitely have to use tongs or a long cleaning brush to reach inside.Overall these are still really good and I’m glad I got them.
