Perfect pitcher for serious iced tea drinkers

I ordered this pitcher specifically for iced tea, and it has quickly become one of my favorite kitchen items. We may not be Southern, but the amount of homemade sweet tea we go through in this house would absolutely suggest otherwise. This pitcher feels like a major upgrade from the old plastic one we had been using.First off, it is really pretty. The octagon shape gives it a clean, modern look that feels more elevated than your typical glass pitcher. The glass itself is thick and sturdy but not heavy or awkward to lift when it is full, which I really appreciate. The handle is comfortable to hold and pouring feels smooth and controlled, not sloshy or clumsy.The lid fits perfectly and seals well. I love the two pouring options because it makes it easy to strain tea leaves or fruit while still being able to pour quickly when you want to. Everything lines up nicely and nothing leaks, even when the pitcher is full.Another big win is that it is dishwasher safe, which makes cleanup easy. It is also stove safe, which is pretty impressive. Personally, I probably will not test that feature, but it is nice to know it can handle heat if needed.Overall, this pitcher feels well made, practical, and thoughtfully designed. It looks great on the counter or in the fridge and does exactly what it is supposed to do. If you drink a lot of iced tea, lemonade, or infused water, this is absolutely worth it.

This thing worries me. Also what were they thinking with the spout design?

I love drinking sweet tea and wanted a glass pitcher as I like putting lemon into it and the lemon has a tendency to destroy plastic containers. So I got this one to solve that problem. As a container for storing lemon tea, it's been good. As a container for *pouring* lemon tea? Not so good.As you can see in the video... the spout is terrible. It's positioned high up and in a curved inward lip... so you really have to tilt the whole thing uncomfortably far to get it to pour out... but the worst part is the liquid doesn't pour smoothly and instead sort of just splashes out.This is because the metal lid has holes but the bottom of the hole doesn't line up with the bottom of the glass lip, so the liquid has to climb over the metal lid ridge and then drop down into the glass lip and it just... doesn't work. I did this with the larger hole opening and you can see the result.Also on a different note... This thing holds a massive amount of liquid. 128oz as advertised... but the thing that worries me is just how thing and fragile feeling the handle attached to the base feels. It's literally held on by two tiny points no thicker than your average coffee mug handle joints... but when this thing holds 128oz of liquid I simply do not trust that it's not going to just have the handle snap clean off as I'm carrying it and shatter 128oz of liquid and glass all over the floor.I literally put my hand under this to support the weight when it's fully because I do not trust the handle at all. It feels like an accident waiting to happen. So in the future I likely won't fill it more than 2/3rds full or less, in order to feel less nervous picking this thing up.Overall great for holding the liquid in a stationary position but not great for pouring or transporting.
