These work great!
Great quality, and work well. I made kimchi for the first time with them. It came out great! The only thing that's missing is a glass weight to hold whatever your fermenting below the liquid line. Which are easily accessed and purchased here on Amazon.

Good large jars but need better seal
The 2-pack gallon sized fermentation jars by Essmilkee has nice glass construction which is of good quality and is thick enough to ferment things like kimchee or kombucha without having to worry about leaks. The gallon size is great because it's big enough to get my hand in there with a sponge to do a thorough cleaning between fermentations. The only reason I took a star off is due to the seal. I expected silicone for an airtight lock, but it's some sort of foam on the lids. It is liquid proof as it doesn't leak when I flip it upside down, but I don't think it's airtight because I can smell the inside contents quite easily.

I had bad luck with these jars.
Both of the jars developed cracks and had to be discarded. There was no sign of impact. I had them sitting on a shelf. I was fermenting chicken feed and stirring it morning and evening. One morning there was a crack on one of them. That evening the crack had completely encircled the jar and liquid was leaking. The other jar developed a crack 2 days later.

This works, and is what it claims to be.
You can probably come up with a cheaper way to buy this set, but it's exactly what it claims to be. It would be great for anything from mead to pickles. The downside for using these for vegetables is that you'll probably want to buy gallon-jar specific glass weights which'll run you another $15-20.

Works as expected
These are great. Used one for sourdough starter and it's worked great, used another for flour storage. It seals up great or you can insert the tube to offset gases (or in my case, letting starter breathe as needed). These are on par cost wise with others I have seen and seem to be the same as others I own. They're a tad heavy as would be expected for all glass and have been durable (of course i haven't dropped them to really test that out though)
