Well made and easy to use, even for a beginner

I ordered this mold to use with air-dry clay. Having never done this before, I had a bit of a learning curve, but the mold was really easy to use. It’s very soft and bendy. I rolled the clay into a long noodle, then pressed it into the mold. My first attempts had some excess clay and I quickly found out that the molded shape is too detailed to be able to trim the excess off. So on my second attempt, I used a thinner clay rope and made sure it fit perfectly, and presto! It worked great! It was easy to remove and none of it stuck in the mold. It looks a little cracked in the photo, but that’s because my clay was a little dry and not because of any flaw in the mold. These would make elegant cakes, or add beautiful details to clay projects.The molds are well made. They’re thick and supple. I think that with care, they’ll last a long time.The third photo (the vertical one) shows the mold after I removed the clay. The tiny flecks are particles of dried clay. As you can see, there are no areas where the clay stuck or tore.

This is a nice quality silicone mold. It is thick but flexible. Not big, so easy to work with. I can see ways of using parts of each mold design to give you additional designs as well. Will make easy work of borders.
