Handy tongs that I'm using for cake decorations. Good size that provides a decent grip and makes decorating a breeze. Very easy to clean, even sticky frosting! Easy peasy to use, a great help for dainty details. Would I order them again... Yes! 🙂
I got these for making specialty cakes, that is, decorating them with precision. They are great, bigger than I thought but a quality item. I worry that the powdercoat will wear off, but time will tell.
These plating tweezers arrived in a very nice presentation box which I did not expect for the price, inside, they are presented in a nice leather look pouch that further enhances their presentation.The tweezers are black powder coated so should easily withstand kitchen work over time. They have a nice dimpled grip area and the tweezer head is ribbed for grip. They are easy to hold from the above or below, depending on your preference and they open to a good width so should be able to pick up most things you want to plate - if not just use chopsticks.I like them, they are a nice comfortable addition to my kitchen tools and I am happy to recommend.
This chefs 10 inch tweezer set has a professional look and feel. It arrived in what looked like a gift box, and included an attractive leather like pouch, housing 10 inch straight and 10 inch offset tweezers. I have wanted something like these tweezers for a while but had not given the tool a name, until I saw these tweezers. They were just what I needed. I have a small deep fryer; I don't use it often. When I do use it, sometimes tongs are too big, but either of these tweezers would be fine. I also need to use them when removing seasonings or vegetables from soup, or turning over foods in a crowded frying pan. I think these tweezers are just what I need. I think anyone would find them useful, if you decide to give them a try, just know - you'll probably have them for a really long time.
I'm a chef so having the right tools that are comfortable, durable and reliable is key to execution on a dish. The pattern/texture on the outside of it is great, it doesn't slip from my fingers or hands and is easy to clean. The tip is narrow with internal ribs to avoid anything from slipping which is nice. The big takeaway is that they are too heavy and hard to pinch. The top end of them is the heaviest so I have to constantly focus on balancing it, which is something you shouldn't have to worry about in the middle of service. It takes a lot to pinch it together so it's very hard to hold things with them & my hand gets fatigue very quickly. I'm not able to pick up small delicate items such as a garnish or encapsulated liquid without bruising or popping them because they make it hard to keep the right, consistent pressure. The downsides are unfortunately important for me so I won't be reaching for this pair of tweezers first.
Quite heavy duty tweezers. Long length is ideal for plating or manipulating food from hot sources. However, I use chopsticks, so I am not sure these are much better than just using chopsticks. Ignoring that though, these specialized tools are still quite expensive for the two tweezers in the set. They are black coated for easier visual differentiation with food, but I am unsure how long the coating will last in a professional environment.On the positive side, the tweezers are sharp with a grippy dimpled texture that makes it easy to retain your hold on them. they come in a case, but if you have another chef tool case, these could easily fit inside.
This is my review for the CREATIVECHEF Chef Tweezer Tongs, Professional Precision Kitchen Tweezers, 10 inch Straight Tweezer Tong and Offset Tweezer in Stainless Steel, Black.They arrived just in time to use for cooking dinner today! I did not expect to receive in tongs in such an elegant box with their very own handsome case. It all looks and feels so professional. These are stainless steel and look very heavy but they are quite light but sturdy! I love that they are a set of 2 different shapes. It gives these tools added maneuverability for different jobs. They are easy to manipulate to pick up small items of food like, for example an individual shrimp or an olive (or that fly that flew into my sauce tonight) !!! I never realized that I needed this kitchen tool unitl I actually started using them. It's almost like using your own fingers. If I had used a kitchen tong I would have squished that little delicate cherry tomato! I can see where there could be many other applications for these tongs but cooking is what I know and I highly recommend these tweezer tongs.
