Must have glass microwave food cover!No more plastic covers which leak chemicals into my food everytime I reheat it in the microwave.This cover is high enough to cover food and is made with durable glass. Light weight which is a plus. I hit it all the time and it's really excellent quality.
This functional & beautiful. The knob does get hot, so the provided hot pad or your own will be needed most of the time. Fits great over dinner plates and has plenty of height for food.
Arrived earlier then expected, this is a high quality item, a lot of care was taken in it being packaged extremely well. Have been wanting a glass microwave cover, non toxic alternative to replace plastic, and one with a glass handle, this is surpringly light, was easy to clean and often i can grab the handle without it being hot so i don't need the handmitts that come with it. Took a lot of time to compare and research, very happy with it, its a high dome, could be shorter to take up less storage space but overall its just what i was looking for!
Works great. It can get very hot if microwave is left on for a long time so be careful.
If you microwave food often and want to avoid using plastic covers, this glass microwave lid is a solid alternative. We bought it because we were trying to reduce how much plastic we were heating food with, especially for everyday meals.The glass feels sturdy and fits over most plates, bowls, and dishes we normally use. One thing I noticed right away is that it does not create any weird smells when heating food, which was something I experienced with plastic covers in the past.Cleanup is very easy. The surface wipes clean quickly and does not stain or absorb odors. It is also waterproof, so nothing soaks in if food splatters.This is not a complicated product, but it does exactly what it is supposed to do. If you are fine using plastic, this may not matter much. But if you microwave food regularly and want a simple, easy to clean option that is not plastic, this has worked well for us.
Got way too hot in the microwave and caused my microwave to do something weird and then not work well after that. Also, it’s extremely thin and fragile. I was scared to accidentally ding it on the counter or faucet or whatever - looks like it would break into a million pieces. Returned. So I’m back to using wax paper over my food in the microwave because you can’t trust the plastic lids with forever chemicals dripping down onto your food, and glass isn’t practical and potentially microwave-ruining.
