This is a serious bread knife. Very serious. Keep away from kids serious. No running in the kitchen with it serious. Seriously now . . . it is a high quality knife very capable of cutting through GF, home made bread which if you're not familiar with GF bread other uses include brickwork. Amazingly, the high quality isn't inhibited by a huge price. This bread knife represents a high value proposition. And none of this comments on the aesthetic appearance. It's beautiful and well made. Today's bread was a nice thick Italian loaf freshly made so it was a bit softer and needed a nice sharp knife to cut without squishing the bread.
