A great alternative to plastic

These are great reusable straws that would fit most glasses/cups. However, I recently tried to use it to drink some sparkling water from a can, and the straw was slightly too short for the can. Not the end of the world, but I hoped it would fit better. Adding an additional inch would have improved it. I like the metal. It keeps the drink chilled as you drink and doesn't taste metallic, which is excellent. These are the way to go if you are into using straws and want an alternative to plastic or paper.

Nice for short glassware

I've been using stainless steel straws for some years now and I do enjoy the fact that they are environmentally friendly. These small straws are great for small glassware such as Cocktail or juice glassware. I received 10 metal straws, 5 curved and 5 straight and 2 cleaning brushes. They came in a metal case which is nice for storing the straws and keeping them all together until needed. They are easy to clean and less wasteful than paper or plastic straws and they don't leach chemicals or break down. They can be used over and over again and won't chip or break if dropped like a glass straw would. They do tend to transfer energy, so if you have sensitive teeth you may not appreciate these straws. These particular straws may pose a problem for kids as children may not use them correctly and may get injured. Even though the edges of the straws are beveled, kids tend to use their tongues to play with things and may get cut by the inside edge. As with any utensil, if used properly, these straws are safe.
