Beautiful cutting boards

These cutting boards are gorgeous (insert starry eyes emoji)! But then I am a sucker for natural materials. The coloring is absolutely beautiful- each board has a unique look in the lines/ the grain and would be great not for just cutting, but serving as well.For my purposes, the size is ideal. I wanted multiple boards that at least coordinated in appearance, because sometimes I’m cutting onions or garlic and don’t want the residual juices on- say- my fruit salad. It was a bonus I hadn’t thought about that they’re the same size. Their uniformity makes storing them easier.They seem quite durable and well made. I want to get another three and split them up to make three separate kitchen sets as Christmas gifts. Theme each set differently for each of my friends. Some reviewers stated their boards arrived rough and needed TLC. Mine did not. However, if yours do, you’ll want to either open them and prep them, or be sure to inform anyone you gift them to that they may need a good wash and oiling before use. They may arrive in rustic condition (lol) but for some of us, it’s kind of fun to do this yourself when it’s a simple fix. Mine just needed a simple wash, though.These are a nice product and I can confidently recommend them for yourself or as a lovely addition to any gift. Very happy with this order.

Nice cutting boards, but you'll need to "finish and prep" them before use.

These acacia wood cutting boards look sharp, but don't expect them to be "ready to use" when you receive them. They arrive with a very rough finish, and were not prepared by the manufacturer to be good cutting boards. They require a little effort before use.I was disappointed in the rough texture when I received these cutting boards. I also noticed a light odor. I am familiar with acacia wood patio furniture, so I assumed it to be some type of oil applied during manufacturing that produced the odor. Acaia wood should NOT go into the dishwasher, but I put them there anyway to help remove any remaining mystery oil that was applied. I allowed them to dry for 2 days, sanded them down with sandpaper, then applied a coat of food-grade mineral oil, let that dry for a day, then applied another coat. They were then ready to use. My image shows only the rough-textured boards that arrived from Amazon.Now that they are properly prepped, they make good cutting and serving boards. Their small size and multiple units allow me to cut different things on different boards simultaneously for food prep. They also make EXCELLENT serving trays for meat and cheese. They will likely need to be oiled every now and then to maintain their appearance, and I will be hand washing them in the future.Would I buy them again? Yes. They are cute and functional. But you definitely need to use some sandpaper and buy some food grade mineral oil before using them the first time. They are more of a "small project" than a product than can be used immediately.

Beautiful natural wood boards

These acacia wood cutting boards are ideal for serving sliced fruit, finger foods and snacks. I especially enjoy using them for my emotional support night cheese and crackers because I can slice the cheese on the same board I eat it on. Add a ramekin with nuts and dried fruit, and we have a midnight delicacy of the highest order.Since there are three of them, I keep one with my assortment of food prep items and hang the others near my serving dishes.
