Shrinks like crazy

There is definitely some mixed messaging going on with these towels. Upon arrival, they looked pretty good and measured close to the 15" x 25" dimensions. The weave did look a bit loose and sparse, but I figured that would help them dry quicker. Now came the problem. Before use, I put them in the washer and then the dryer. They came out looking like I had just washed and dried a particularly bad batch of gauze fabric. The dimensions were then 8.5" x 18" of a very compact, shriveled towel. I went back and looked at the paperboard sleeve which the towels had come in and it said, "Machine wash cold" and hang to dry. Currently the product page says machine wash and dry (doesn't give any indication of temperatures) for the care, so definitely different care instructions.The towels are still useable and do soak up water fine; however, after coming out the the wash, they are shriveled little masses of fabric and aren't the easiest to work with, nor do they look that attractive. I really think dish towels should be able to be washed in warm water and be able to withstand a dryer with some heat (not excessive, just what is normally used for colored towels which come out fine).

Waffle hand towels that beautiful and absorb excellently.

I am always looking out for great hand towels for the kitchen. These caught my eye right away because they are made with a waffle print, they are a beautiful color of brown, are a 100% cotton, and measure 15” by 25”. Very handy.They are very absorbent, and came as a package of 4. I would have given them a 5 star rating if I were able to dry these dish towels in the dryer. They can be washed in the washing machine, but it was expressly stated that they need to be line dried. I’m not sure why 100% cotton towels can be washed in the washer, but not dried in the dryer. Perhaps it helps with the longevity of the towels.These towels are very nice and I truly will love having them near my kitchen wash basin so that I can dry off clean dishes, or even to dry my hands. I can tell you that I can live with the fact that I need to line dry these towels because they are a great size, a wonderful color, and the price is very fair.

Really bar mops, not dish towels.

The best thing about these towels are the attractive earthy colors. I got these in hopes of adding to a house warming gift, but the dye smell was so strong that I would have to wash them. These are a nice size before washing in cold water, but have shrunk in the first wash. They lost the sharp rectangle shape in that wash with the sides becoming wavy. I then put them in the dryer, although care note on the wrapper says do not tumble dry, because I thought "What have I got to lose now". Drying until damp had no further effect, so I ironed with a cool iron, as allowed, as I stretched them back to shape. Seems a lot of care for dish towels that are actually bar mops in material weight and size.

Shrank as expected

The instructions on the package say to wash in cold water but NOT to tumble dry. What, am I supposed to use them while they're wet? As expected, they shrank in the dryer, but so long as they still dry the dishes, that's fine with me.Even though they're brightly colored, the color didn't run in the wash or dryer. Good!

Who Irons Dish Towels?

Disappointed with these towels. The red color was exactly what I was looking for to add to our farmhouse kitchen, but that’s where the excitement ended. These towels are incredibly thin, almost see-through, and not what I expected from something labeled "premium." The care instructions were the real deal-breaker—"do not tumble dry" and "iron on low." Who has time to iron dish towels? I always wash new towels before using them and suspected they might bleed, so I tossed in a color catcher, and sure enough, they bled badly.Despite the instructions, I went ahead and put them in the dryer on low anyway, and they came out shrunken and misshapen. Nowhere in the Amazon description does it say they shouldn't go in the dryer or that they need to be ironed to look presentable. They will get used somewhere on the farm, but definitely not in our main kitchen.
