Used it for a Christmas party.Only downside is once it gets to the bottom the spout can't drain the last half inch or so. So you need to tilt it, for coffee that could avoid grounds from ending up in your cupHeats quickly, easy to use, easy to clean. Looks nice, the jacket on it keeps people from burning themselves on the outside of the unit.We will probably order a second one.
This is really worth 5 stars, but there is a little white lie involved that needs to be shared... thus the 4 stars.Short summary... you are going to like this coffee urn. It is quiet, looks amazing, holds the temperature well, and was very easy to use. Plus, no slow leaky faucet or anything like that. Easy to clean up and was perfectly functional for our needs.The White Lie? There is a wonderful little gauge on the front of the machine that indicates the water level, in terms of cups. The 100 cup mark has a couple of "bent truths". First, this gauge doesn't take into account that the spout sits about 1" above the bottom of the Urn, which is good for many reasons, but unless you tilt the urn for the last 20 or so cups, then you aren't getting 100 cups. ADDITIONALLY, the 100 cup fill line (imaginary) is about 1" above the "Max Fill" line. This was not a big deal for us, because we used this machine for hot water only as a part of our Hot Cocoa bar, but this may be a bigger issue for Coffee? We filled the Urn up past the max fill line and had no issues, but we did this without the percolator installed. So... you probably are not going to actually get 100 8oz cups out of this under normal conditions.Overall, we LOVE this thing and I plan to use it until it quits working and then buy another one... but I promise to provide honest reviews and it just doesn't meet the 100 cup capacity. Turns out, we don't really need it to anyway.
Good for water boiling. Simple instructions. It took a while to do the initial boiling and emptying, but it was easy and I’ve had no trouble in the first couple of uses. I needed an on-off switch and glad this model delivered.

Cord is long enough for most setups, and it has held up through multiple seasons of hard use without leaks, rust, or element failure.Overall this is a no-nonsense workhorse urn that excels exactly where it needs to: big crowds, long holds, and consistent results. If you host holidays, run events, or cater occasionally and want something that stays hot and brews strong without constant attention, this delivers every time.
It looks good and it does work well. However I ended up returning it for these reasons:1. It makes a very loud sound when it tries to get back up to temperature.2. When you open it up to fill your liquid inside it shows a maximum level of 40 cups. This is a problem because I need 50 cups.Otherwise it's a pretty good product just not good enough for what I need it for.
If you host business meetings, community group meetings, or maybe you have a large family that gets together regularly this might be just the ticket for your general coffee needs. Note: This is really a new take on the old style percolator coffee brewing method, so no espressos or any fancy coffees are going to come out of this. What does come out is a delicious house blend style coffee with service for many at a time.The overview is a stylish take on an old style percolator coffee urn. It has the glass view through on the spout so you can see at a glance how much coffee remains. It has lights to indicate it is in brewing mode or has finished and gone to warming mode. This brings us to my favorite part of this urn. You can select the holding temperature.I have had so many coffee pots and coffee urns over the year that held the coffee at too hot of a temperature that it was scalding the coffee after only a short period of time. This urn has a dial which allows you to set your desired holding temperature.How much coffee you put in for how many cups will be up to you. There are recommendations which work well for stock coffee brands, but if you are using a specialty coffee or have a particular strength or flavor profile it might take a little playing to get it just right. But think of all the delicious coffee on that path of discovery.
