Great urn but read the design flaw
I just tried out this Avolend stainless steel 50 cup commercial coffee maker at a breakfast for 50 people. It's attractive, modern and efficient. It is just 18" tall and 12" wide with a non-drip faucet and a drip tray which is a definite positive. I immediately noticed the great handle and easy lock lid and the visible water gauge. It brewed excellent coffee. The only negative is the brew basket and percolator assembly which are very difficult to use. The top of the brew basket has a circular metal disc which makes the cleanup easier but creates a real problem coupling a basket of coffee to the percolator stem.

Perfect for large gatherings
This coffee container is great. It brews a huge amount of coffee quickly and keeps it warm for hours. Was more than enough for my extended family when they were over for Thanksgiving. The stainless steel makes it feel sturdy. Easy to clean too. It may be a little TOO big for a typical household but for large gatherings, catering, or events, this is perfect.

Underperformed: small basket, misleading capacity, metallic taste.
Disappointing performance. Better products available online for ~$100 plus shipping.The thermostat on this model is very hard to read, with tiny font.Coffee had a metallic aftertaste.The 9" basket (2L) is too small for a full 15L batch when using coarse ground coffee, which expands when wet. No room for even percolation. Resultant brew was unsatisfactory.This unit has a total volume of 20L, but can only brew a maximum batch of 15L (4 gallons). The "100 cup" rating uses a serving size of 5 oz, which I find misleading. With a serving size of 8 -10 oz, a better estimate is 50-60 servings per 15L.

Giant coffee maker/urn for large events
Do you throw parties? Host large gatherings? Family reunions? Sunday service? Soup kitchens? This is an excellent solution for all those needs! It’s a large capacity coffee urn; large capacity as in 50 cups! Once heated, this urn keeps it hot and fresh for the extent of your function. The spigot is easy to operate and located ideally for short or tall cups alike. A coffee urn filter would be ideal for clean brews. But it’s not absolutely necessary. The stainless steel mesh is plenty sufficient for brewing.
