Heats quickly. I love the temperature control dial. I'm using this for a Hot Chocolate party I have every December. The temperature control allows me to keep my milk and cream based hot chocolate at 140 degrees. This looks nice and has a protective insolation cover on it to keep fingers from burning on the exterior of the urn. The cover can be removed for cleaning.
Easy to use , makes perfect coffee
Came bent and didn’t work. We tried several times. Instructions hard to understand as well.
Easy to set up and use. Perfect for large get togethers. Love the adjustable temperature. Also love the reusable filter, so no paper filters are necessary. Double insulated. You can see the level of coffee in the pot, so you know when you need to refill. Absolutely love everything about this, no complaints at all.
This percolator coffee brewer looks really nice on the counter. If you are hosting a group breakfast or meeting this will provide access to lots of coffee for your guests.A couple things I really like is the filtering mesh on the coffee holder. Most percolators of this sort had small hole perforated bottoms whereas this has a fine mesh. Less particulates into the brew this way. The mesh is easy to rinse and clean after use. Another feature I really like is the temperature adjust knob for the coffee storage heater. I have had some percolators which held coffee too hot and thus wound up giving it a burned taste in only a short sitting time. Being able to adjust to a temperature where the coffee is still hot and delicious without burning it is an excellent option.
This is a high quality and surprisingly light commercial grade coffee maker that's thermally insulated. Thermal sleeve comes installed.Stainless steel is of good quality, it's well polished and there are no visible weld/form seems. Temperature dial is large, easy and smooth to turn.I'm not sure why this one is called a coffee urn, maybe because of what amounts to a bucket and a half of its internal liquid volume, but as product picture shows, this coffee maker is perfect for all heated beverages.The best feature as a coffee maker is that the coffee brewing container has a fine metal mesh that's fully reusable so there is not need for paper filters.This large coffee maker is perfect for private/commercial social events.
I ordered the Megaflint 100-cup Commercial Coffee Urn in Stainless Steel with a Thermal Sleeve to accommodate my brother-in-law's funeral and celebration of life party, where family members were flying in from all over the country. We often have large get-togethers and have had to rent a commercial coffee urn for these events. Although we promised to test it before the actual day, we set it up on the morning of his memorial party.Thankfully, there were no surprises—it was quick and easy to set up without any issues. The urn looks heavy-duty and expensive; it certainly doesn't look cheap. It heated up quickly and brewed coffee faster than we expected. The only part I found a bit difficult was getting the lid on correctly, as I have weaker hands. However, it worked beautifully throughout the event, kept the coffee at a consistent temperature, and even had a gauge to show how much coffee was left so you know before it ran dry.
