Made in China as is everything, however these are very nice quality linen napkins, a little pricier than what I normally spend but I loved the check pattern and the linen fabric. They did not shrink in wash but do need to be ironed as does all linen. Would love to buy more but 💲💲
In my grandmother’s house, her rule was “Treat yourself and your family as honored guests.” That meant even Chinese takeout was served in porcelain bowls with cloth napkins. These napkins arrived just as I was throwing together lunch, so I used them. Why not. Two paninis, a bottle of water, and linen napkins in the garden. It was definitely a vibe. Elevated and gracious. I wish I could have linen napkins at every meal. But let's be real. I do my own laundry and cannot spend days ironing. My grandmother had a system: she ironed four at a time with four swipes in a counter-clockwise pattern, then stored them flat (or with one fold) in a drawer under a cutting board. It honestly took a minute. As napkins go, these are really great. Soft right out of the package, even softer after one wash, and I was surprised, usable straight from the dryer. I gave them a quick press and they were perfect. The quality is solid, full hem with miter corners. There is even a small loop on the back, I'm guessing for use bib-style instead of a tuck. I would never. Still, it's a thoughtful detail. Five stars.
These beautiful linen napkins are indeed 100% linen material. They're soft yet rugged, and extremely absorbent. These became slightly softer after successive washes, and I can either line dry them or use the traditional dryer and iron. The color is an off white which looks very natural and complements many styles. Very good overall quality.
