This knife is made in China and is NOT German Steel as the name implies.The edge is horrible.I like the shape of the knife so I'll try to fix the edge and keep it.Hopefully it will work out ok.

This is certainly the endgame of butter knifes. The cleaver shape makes it extremely easy to cut and spread butter, cheeses, and jams. I even took the liberty of sharpening this on a whetstone, and it's been holding up an edge very well. A great addition to my kitchen, I've been using it constantly.
The packaging on this thing! An outer slide box reveals a 2-piece window box with the knife securely framed in a fitted foam cutout. It looks like a gift. The shape of this knife is different and interesting, adding visual impact to a cheese tray or charcuterie board. It can be used for cutting wedges of cheese, slicing fruit or salami, or spreading a composite butter. The edge is ever so slightly curved and arrives as sharp as you'd want a serving utensil to be.
I’ve never had a butter cleaver before! This is very well made and has a good weight in the hand. It’s all one piece of steel and is very pretty and minimalistic. I was expecting something with a little bit of flex, but this doesn’t have any, so I have an unreasonable fear of slicing my thumb open while spreading butter on my morning toast. It’s the exact height of a stick of butter and cuts through it without any issues at all. It can be a little bit of a pain to get the pat of butter off the knife afterwards, so again, my fear of cutting myself pops up.But…no issues so far. I’m just way more careful with this than I’d be with a lesser knife.
