I’m happy with the product
Only had it a day and used it twice but so far seems to do the job nicely.
Works like a charm
This blade was too big for the 48oz low profile container even though the description said it fits. It scrapes the edges and will damage your container. I hope that the company fixes this issue.
Having owned the same Vitamix blender for a decade I'm convinced there is no better blender available. Just watch Top Chef or any of the other cooking shows featuring actual restaurant chefs who work with these machines for a living and pay attention to the equipment they choose. It's almost universally Kitchenaid mixers and Vitamix blenders. Why? Because they work amazingly well and last nearly indefinitely. What I love about both the products I mentioned is that they are designed with one task in mind and do it incredibly well. Yeah, they cost more, but the cheap versions may work OK on day one but are built to be disposable. When a critical part fails (and being mostly plastic they will) the whole thing becomes useless. On the other hand, when something is built to last, the parts that wear out are designed to be replaced.Such is the case with Vitamix blenders. The blades on these things spin incredibly fast and are asked to literally pulverize frozen fruit, ice and other hard, brittle items. It should come as no surprise that the blades, even though made of hardened steel, eventually get nicked and dull. And when that eventually happens you'll discover the beauty of old school design: by purchasing a relatively inexpensive replacement blade you'll discover your old Vitamix once again works like it did on day one!
Rust comes out of the bottom of the bearing, not a good sign of it lasting
