Who doesn't need a giant set of tweezers?
I initially ordered these to use for serving appetizers and such, but when I got them I realized that these are in fact GIANT tweezers. And while I don't think I'll use them for serving guests, I absolutely love them for cooking items like shrimp or small food that my tongs tend to be too big for. I also have used them to each delicate items like chips to keep my hands clean. They are quite honestly better than chopsticks because they are hinged, and they come in a pack of 2; one with a pointed end and one with a blunt end. These are easily going to become my favorite tool in the kitchen!

An interesting alternative to tongs
Are these a must-have kitchen/grill tool? No, probably not.Will they replace your tongs? No, definitely not.Tongs have greater surface area and, usually, open a LOT wider than these do. That said, if you're dealing with something smaller and maybe more delicate, these are a bit more "gentle" on food than tongs and, as the tips are more flattened, provide a sometimes better grip (depending on what you're gripping). Handy for, say, throwing shrimp on the grill or rotating kebab skewers.So do I love them? Not quite love, but I like them a lot - they're not going to have a use for everyone, but if they might for you, they're pretty neat (and don't take up much space). Plus, you get two - go in on it with a friend and you can compare notes/use cases, or go at your grilling like a K-Mart Edward Scissorhands!

Good alternative to kitchen tongs
Items arrived quickly. This looks like oversized surgical instruments. I have not used these yet but I think this will work well for grilling. These do not take a lot of space so it is easy to place on the side unlike tongs that are bulky and some that even pinches your finger.There is no rubber component. Everything is made of what appears to be stainless steel. That said, these kitchen tweezers are also easy to wash. For the price, this is a bargain.

Sharp Edges Could Use A Little Finish
There are two styles of the Jinhuiyuan 12-Inch Kitchen Tweezers. One is skinnier with wide gripping pads at the tip and is 12" long. The other is a little shorter at 11.75" with a wider handle and narrow gripping pads. Both tips are textured on the inside for a secure grip.The stainless steel is heavy gauge and allows for a strong grip. The edges of the metal inside the tongs and around the handles is a little sharp and rough in spots from the manufacturing process. I found that the skin of my smaller fingers can get caught between the tongs if I hold the tweezers too tight in my fist. It's better, and safer, to hold the tweezers with just my fingers.The tweezers come with clear silicone bands to hold the tongs closed for storage. I plan on keeping them in the original packaging when not in use. They should come in handy for removing food items, like pickles, from narrow jars.

Makes turning food easy
