12” cotton rope bannetons

These baskets are lovely and perfectly shaped very clean. I put them in the washing machine with the linen liners and covers right away and they came out great and so easy to hang up to dry. They held their shape perfectly. I must say due to the size of these baskets you’ll either need to make very large loaves of sourdough bread or once proofed cut the dough in half and make two or more loaves instead of one. I’m not sure if this company makes these baskets in different sizes but I sure wish they did. I will be checking into that later because these are completely handmade to perfection. I’ve been through some things with Benetton baskets before so I was pretty impressed with these.

Works on different types of dough

Easy to use and easy to clean.I pre-washed it before I used it. I washed it in tap water cold temp and I air dried it.I didn’t have sour dough starter on hand so I decided to test it out with my bagel dough.The recipe has flour, salt, yeast, water and sugar incase anyone wants to know if my dough had oil or butter, etc in it.It did what it needed to do. I lightly put flour in the plain liner and then put my dough in and covered it and left it for an hour and bada-bing bada-boom my dough is ready to shape the bagels.Very easy to collapse and store! I really like how the liner comes off, the look and the ease of just machine wash!I will say that if I’m making a sticky type dough I wouldn’t use this since I need the extra moisture in the dough. But French bread, sour dough, etc where you don’t need extra moisture than this is perfect and having two is even better!

Love the size, the included liners and covers, and that they collapse

I have been working with a single banneton, and it wasn't enough. I was so happy to find this pair of collapsible baskets! They look really big, but ultimately made a boule exactly the right size for my Dutch oven. I do a 24 hr cold proof, which can dry out the dough if you aren't careful. I soaked the cover in water, covered the dough, and put it in the fridge, and it worked great.One of my pet peeves is when the banneton lining has a weird pattern that leaves indents on the boule. Because this one is wider, the indentations are further out on the top of the boule than others, so they didn't affect the aesthetics of the loaf.
