Its not flat on thebottom like my Joyce Chen flat bottom wok. Thereby, the gas off my range emits from the sides, making my abdomen hot! It's deep and not overly wide. Stunning pan. Amazing big lid. Quality, and already getting in some good seasoning.This is a well made carbon steel wok that feels substantial and purpose built the moment you start cooking with it. The hand hammered surface and round bottom allow heat to spread quickly and evenly which is exactly what you want for real stir fry on a gas stove.
