nice, well made wood spatula
I didn't see anywhere on packaging or item description of what specific type of wood this is but it's fairly light and feels durable. The surface is nicely polished and it's about medium length, good for frying pan or sauce pan work. If you have a big wok, you'll need longer. Easy to clean and i didn't see any staining. I did find the front edge nicely rounded but a bit too thick to turn more delicate items that require flatter/wider spatula, like eggs, pancakes, fish. Perfectly fine for stirring, stir frying

Super inexpensive for a really really nice, durable wood spatula.
This is my review of the CUZAFO 12 Inch Wooden Spatula for Cooking.I am always on the look out for good quality cooking utencils. I wasn't expecting anything special when I ordered this wood spatula for cooking. I just needed a new wood spatula and the price on this one was really inexpensive! I was pleasntly surprised by the presentation of this spatuala in its own little black box. I thought "ok, maybe it IS special". I am happy to report I have never owned such a nice wood spatula as this. It has a solid feel in your hand yet it is not bulky or clumsy. The spatula end that touches the pan is shaped so well it has no problem flipping a very thin food item like an egg. The surface is very smooth like satin. I see no sign of splintering at the edges. I use it almost always when I am cooking in my non-stick and ceramic pans successfully. I do NOT recommend putting this really nice wood spatula in the dishwasher. Nor do I recommend leaving it in water. I did that to my old wood spatulas, granted they were bamboo, but they lost their slick coating and began to splinter. This is a super nice wood spatula by Cuzafo so DON'T make my mistake. Yes I totally recommend this really nice, durable wood spatula to add to your cooking utencil collection.

Nice Spatula
This 12-inch (30.48 cm) solid wood spatula feels well-made for the most part. The hardwood construction is sturdy and the finish is smooth in many areas, though I found a few rougher spots that were easy to fix with a little sanding. The spatula is lightweight at about 3.52 ounces (99.79 g), and it has a pleasant natural look that fits well in a kitchen. The thickened ergonomic handle provides decent control while stirring and flipping, but it could be more comfortable for extended use. The working end has a broad shape that is versatile for stirring and serving, but that width can make it harder to get under some foods during cooking. This spatula protects nonstick cookware from scratches and it is heat resistant in normal cooking. I have not seen any cracking or warping so far. My main concern is that it is not dishwasher safe, and wood can be porous. Hand washing may not fully sterilize the utensil, and that porosity could allow unwanted growth over time.Overall, I would recommend this product because it is sturdy, protects nonstick pans, and performs well for general cooking despite minor comfort and cleaning limitations.

Kitchen Workhorse
Beautifully made and feels good in the hand. The wood is smooth, sturdy, and hasn’t warped or cracked even with regular use on hot pans. It’s safe for nonstick cookware and adds that timeless look to the utensil drawer. A classic done right.

Solid hardwood, not bamboo. Smooth curves. Great for stir fry or non-stick pans.
This spatula has a smooth shape, no sharp corners, and the handle is easy to grip without getting hot.The wood is durable, nice quality hardwood, polished well -- no splinters. Not sure. But possibly maple or oak. Definitely not bamboo. Nothing wrong with bamboo per sem but its fibers can separate depending on how it's cut, and it can absorb more due to it being less dense than hardwood.I like the way the design is a smoothly changing curve from the handle to the spatula end. It makes turning and folding easier than a straight spatula. We use wooden spoons and spatulas for stir frying, and to prevent scratching non-stick pans.At the current $10 price, its a very good value for the quality.Overall, good quality spatula, easy to clean, durable, and should last a long time. Five stars.

Reasonably priced, a little rough in spots
Good wooden utensils are hard to find at a reasonable price. In my quest for good ones, I've waded through a lot of bamboo (wife can't stand the feel), and ones with toxic smelling finishes. This turner/spatula is a really good buy for the price. It is a good size. The wood is solid, generally smooth and well made, and the oil they used to finish it doesn't smell bad or leach out. It is very functional, I have no complaints there. For the price, I haven't encountered a better value. My one singular gripe is that it seems like they forgot to sand one edge, and it is a little rough in a couple places where my fingers rest when using it. I assume this is a handmade/hand finished item, so some variation is to be expected. I will have to sand it down a little myself to get it smoothed out.I'll gladly do a little sanding if it means getting a wooden utensil of this quality for under 10 bucks. I'm quite pleased with it.
