So cute and the perfect size!
I happened to come into a large quantity of vanilla beans and wasn’t quite sure how to use them all. I found these bottles and they will be perfect to make homemade vanilla extract to give to friends and family this upcoming Christmas. I appreciate that the set comes with cute labels, so I can “dress them up” a bit, by adding some ribbon/sprigs and maybe a cute teaspoon prior to gifting.I appreciate that the bottles are dark to prevent light from upsetting the infusion process. The bottles are an ideal size (though a little larger than what I had anticipated) to be functional without being overwhelming. Each of the recipes I have seen for making extract yields 8 ounces, so these are perfect. After adding 8 ounces of liquid, there was enough room left (see picture) for me to add the appropriate number of beans, fully submerged.At first look, I thought the price was a bit steep. However, upon seeking other options, I realized that, at $19.99 at the time of this review, this is a very reasonable price- especially for the darker bottles. They arrived very well-packaged- I even shook the box and couldn’t sense any movement or detect that it contained glass. I may use the box/packaging during the infusion process, so that I can easily shake all of the bottles at the same time. It will also help keep them in the dark.I’m very happy with this product and can’t wait to see how these turn out for cute little gifts!*On a side note- don’t forget to grab a bottle brush if you don’t have one. These are hand wash only and I failed to think about needing a bottle brush to wash these before use. I’m sure I could get by without one, but I’d prefer to have it since I’ll be gifting these.

Nice Set of Bottles
I love making homemade vanilla and thought these bottles would be a great way to differentiate my specialty extracts from the regular vanilla extract that I keep in swing top bottles.First off, I must mention that these bottles were shipped with care and I really appreciate it! They are very snuggly nestled into a foam holder that kept them nice and safe on their way to my house.This pack comes with 12 bottles so it would make a great starter set if you are just getting into making extracts. They also include labels and a small funnel. I will probably not be using the funnel as I already have one that I like using better but it's still nice if you are just setting out. The labels will be helpful!The tops for the bottles are plastic and easy to twist on and off.Although I usually make my extract in larger bottles, I like that these bottles are 8oz. I think this would make a great gifting size.I can see myself using these bottles quite a bit. Very excited to get started on some new extracts!
