REVIEW OF SILVER RUNNER:I love this silver runner! I purchased a set along with another that I gave my son for his holiday decorations. He does Silver and Red for his Christmas decor. I do Gold and Silver, and Crystal. This year I am hosting a dinner, so I wanted to dress up the sideboard and table. This runner in Silver is absolutely gorgeous! The mesh backing is a large hole mesh. That leaves a lot of transparency of whatever you lay the silver runner upon for the backing to show through. That creates a dramatic and very elegant look. Any color would look lovely with the silver. And greenery around a Christmas table or mantle lined with green velvet or another fabric, would look stunning. Any colors of ornaments or other material you place on the silver mesh would reflect light and color back into the room, making quite an impact! I can wrap hurricane candle protecters with this mesh (safely, electric candles), and it would look stunning with all the light reflecting off the silver. In spite of it looking delicate, I believe with care, the mesh will last for several years of holiday decorating. It would look nice gathered slightly as a swag over a mirror or door. This is a versatile material for decorating. The only limit is our imagination in decorating for the holidays!REVIEW OF GOLD RUNNER:I have the silver table runner, so thought to get the gold, thinking it would be the same quality as the silver. Maybe my expectation was inadequate, but I am disappointed in this runner. the gold is very bright and brassy looking. I feel it looks more fake than elegant. It is delicate and I will put it with a table cloth that will balance it, adding holiday greenery to it. It may clash with other gold accruements on the table, so I will have to take that into account when using it. If they had made the gold a little less brassy and bright, it would be a perfect runner for the holiday table. It is a reasonable price, so I can try to make it work with other items for decorating.

Just took it to another level!
I placed these runners on top of light gold runners and they were absolutely perfect. I had seen on a previous review someone had done this and I think it just gives it the perfect touch! Some had kinks that were hard to get out from being rolled up but we just placed something heavy on them and it just helped to loosen up the kinks… tape worked too on some of the more stubborn ones.
