Poor overall quality

Our kitchen utensils are getting up there in age, so my wife and I decided to roll the dice on trying this product. We weren't enamored with the white color (thinking that it could get discolored very easily), but did like the fact that the material was wood + silicone, as we have found wooden utensils to have minor cracks (which can develop modls) too easily and metal ones to be too scratchy on our pans and pots.We received the product today, and we likely will not be using this set (maybe for the exception of a few that we find to be acceptable). For the most part, the product is just poor quality; I have attached a couple of pictures with the problems that we have found. On the first image, you can see that the silicone hasn't really been cleanly cut; you can see the little leftovers around the edges. The second shows how the silicone and the wood has a pretty significant gap, this one on the tongs. The second issue was a pretty common theme across the product as well, with some being worse than others.The size of the utensils is also a bit smaller than what we expected, especially when it comes to the scoops and the flipper. You would be hard pressed to flip even a single fried egg with it given its small size.The quality of the wood is probably the saving grace in the product, along with the softness of the silicone. Even with the wood, however, there are some rough patches on a couple of the products, though the problem is much more minor compared to the two issues that I pointed out above.Overall, we would not recommend this product, even in this lower, budget price range.

Comprehensive "Little" Set

I picked this up hoping to replace the hodge-podge of kitchen utensils I own. The set looks nice. Wooden handles, lighter silicone, all matching. It comes with slotted and solid versions of everything. Just what I was looking for. What I didn't realize is how small all of them are. The spatulas are 1/3 smaller than most spatulas I've owned. The spoons are the same. The ladle is roughly half the size of the ladle I own. I wish these were bigger. I believe they would be much more functional if they were full sized. See the included pic. Left utensil is what I own, right utensil is from this set.They seem well made. All of the wooden handles are smooth and sturdy. The silicone is a coating over a harder substance inside, I'm guessing plastic. I kind of feel this is the kind of set that if used a lot will start to deteriorate within a couple years. Like getting a small tear in the end of the silicone, stuff like that. It's just a feeling, I could be wrong.For me I gave it 4 stars because it does look nice and comes with many useful kitchen utensils, but I feel they should be bigger.
