The plates have slightly raised edges, and the bowls are deep enough for soup or other liquids. Not hot to touch when microwaved but bowls too small.
These plates are nice. Would be better if the top was flatter or caves down. It's sort of convex on top. I would prefer it concave instead. Not sure if you guys can see the bump in the plate pictures. I do find the bowls smaller than expected. It's too small for a bowl of Shin/Jin Ramen. I ran out of Shin/Jin Ramen for comparison so here's some mama noodles and Buldak instead. One cool thing I notice with the plates is that when I microwave food, the bottom isn't too hot to touch. The bottom would be warm while the top is hot. This was unexpected.

Absolutely stunning
I’ve had a lovely set of dishes for years, but unfortunately they’re marred by scratches now, so I wanted to give these a try. They have the perfect look for both modern and boho design. The color and pattern is beautiful. The plates are the perfect size for meals or snacks and the bowls have a good depth to them that will help with spills (two kids and myself included). They’re a very nice weight and appear to be excellent quality. I love the smooth design which will be easy to clean.
