If you are looking to replacing rusting mason jar lids, look no further. I ended up buying both sizes, as we have a varied collection of jars at home. They are colorful, well fitted, come with the internal gaskets and a removal tool. Easy to use, no rust worries, clean well and look great. As far as canning I cannot speak to that, as we re-use jars as storage.
It is nice to store bulk food items in mason jars, but the metal lids and rings can rust and it is easy to run short of lids or rings. These plastic lids were just what we needed and they work perfectly. They come with rubber gaskets, but we only store dry goods and we have not needed the gaskets. The lids have a rough surface so you can write on them with pencil and erase later easily when you change out the contents (This works on the lighter colored lids).

I saw these colorful lids for mason jars on Instagram and thought I'd give them a try as I'm not a fan of the metal lids that come with the mason jars. I know the metal lids are best for canning, however I use my mason jars for other things as well, like homemade dressings, sauce, desserts, etc and the metal lids can be a pain. These colorful plastic lids are made of a nice material and are durable as well as leak proof which is great for liquids. The seal is nice and tight to prevent air from getting inside and breaking down to the food contents. I purchased these to fit a wide mouth jar size, but they also come in regular mouth. They even offer a bundle of 8 wide mouth & 8 regular! These lids fit both the Kerr and Ball brand mason jars. I love the bright colors and you can't beat this price!! Add these to your cart now, they'll cone in handy this summer!
It is a bit struggle when tightening the cover..it is not an easy task. Although, I like it coz it is color coded.
These are great! Nice tight fit with the included gaskets and an easy gasket remover!
Love these lids. So convenient for my sturdy mason jars .. Not everything needs to be airtight .. Keeps everything nice and neat
