The PERFECT flat bottom wok!
This is my second review. I cannot say enough about this awesome kitchen tool. Since I purchased this about a month ago, this wok quickly became my go to for cooking anything on the stove top. I season it with either grape seed oil or sesame oil. It remains non stick…nada…nothing sticks to it now..not even burnt cheese! I love this wok! And again, yes, you do have to care for it..much like your cast irons. For as much joy this wok has brought to my kitchen, the minimal time to keep it clean and seasoned is well worth it.Ok, this is my third review. I am so happy with the quality of this wok. I do recommend you remove the wooden handle and thoroughly cleanse with soapy water and a Brillo pad or other metallic scrubber until the bluish tent steel is revealed, then coat with avocado oil, and season in the oven at 500° for an hour, let cool, repeat this process two or three more times, the avocado oil is superior to grapeseed and definitely superior to canola oil as it’s flashpoint is well over 500°. Doing this has provided an incredible nonstick surface that rivals any new Teflon coated pan that has been proven to be unhealthy well, I do appreciate this large size, however, when cooking for two I would prefer a smaller diameter wok as it will be easier to use. I use this wok for everything, it is my every day stove top utensil, breakfast bacon and eggs, omelettes, chicken carbonara comes out wonderful in this wok, my Italian dishes, Asian dishes, Latin dishes, Tex-Mex dishes,I cannot say enough about how happy I am with this product. You will not go wrong if choosing this over others.
