Perfect bread keeper!

This glass bowl with lid is exactly what I needed to keep our bread fresh and safe from our "foraging" cats at night. We only eat our homemade sourdough bread, and it needs to stay on the counter at room temperature and be properly sealed. However our cats have been sneaking around at night and tearing into the bags to eat it.I wanted something pretty and effective since it has to sit out. The first glass jar I bought was too large, as we don't usually put a full loaf in the bowl, just half or 3/4 mostly. (Full loaves are kept in the freezer until needed.)Unnecessary: All the forks and plates were unnecessary, but I will use them for paint palettes and stirrers when I teach my art class.The little non-slip mat is helpful. However, it doesn't do any good without being adhered to the bottom of the glass, so I used double stick clear tape to attach it. It would be nice to have a better alternative for the non-slip, like a removable silicone slip-on ring for around the bottom (like is shown in the last photos.)

Well made, a little small bit still good for any need

I’m always down for a good Trifle bowl with a lid and this one serves a good addition to my kitchen. It’s a bit smaller than I expected but it’s well made and easy to assemble ( the lid and top handles need to be assembled). The glass is thick enough to be durable but not too thick to make it heavy. Overall I’m happy with it.

Can't go wrong with borosilicate glass versus the regular stuff.

Works great for food storage too! The sealing bamboo lid keeps it's sealed pretty good. We're using now as a cookie type jar and 100% satisfied with it. Once I figured out what borosilicate glass was (science beaker glass) we've been replacing all of our glass with it. Looks good and works great. Five-star quality
