Lovely kettle, heats water quickly, temperature control, auto shut off, and a keep warm setting. Set up a hot chocolate station for my granddaughter. Everyone is enjoying this kettle.
Really quick hot water. Appreciate the auto shut off because the water is hot before you’d expect. I prefer to have minimal stuff on the counter so the simplicity of cleaning and storing is great.
I purchased the Plaman Electric Kettle for my boyfriend after our last kettle stopped working within a year. This time, I decided to take the plunge and opted for this model along with the extended warranty for extra peace of mind. From the moment we started using it, this kettle exceeded our expectations. It’s crafted with high borosilicate glass and 304 food-grade stainless steel, ensuring that every surface in contact with the water is BPA-free and safe—something I really value for health reasons. The 6 temperature presets are incredibly handy for a variety of uses, from brewing tea to making pour-over coffee. The "Keep Warm" function is a lifesaver, keeping the water at the desired temperature for up to 4 hours, which is perfect for those lazy mornings or busy afternoons. Its 1.7L capacity is generous, and the double-wall design keeps the exterior cool to the touch—an excellent safety feature. The cordless design and auto shut-off make it easy and worry-free to use. Plus, the LED display is not only functional but also adds a modern touch to our kitchen. This kettle feels like a significant upgrade, both in quality and functionality, compared to our previous one. If you’re looking for a reliable electric kettle with thoughtful features, this is a fantastic choice. Highly recommend it!
I go through a couple of kettles a year, since I work from home and drink tea all day long. This means I like the ones with a "keep warm" feature, so I can just go make another cup when I want to. The problem is that most of them have either a 2-hour or (worse) 30-minute max "keep warm" time. (At one point I found one that did 24 hours, but it died after a few weeks, alas; Amazon replaced it, and the same thing happened, at which point I gave up on that model.)So I was happy to see this one with its 4-hour max, as that's mostly enough. Ordered, arrived (a day later than promised, but that's not the product's fault). Hmm, no instructions in the box; I can figure it out, surely. And it was intuitive, works great. I did write the company through Amazon about the missing instruction sheet, because I was curious: I saw a review where someone complained about having to reset the "keep warm" setting after pouring some water, and that wasn't my observation. To my surprise, a PDF arrived via email within a couple of hours. The documentation confirmed my observation: if you pour the water *and get it back on the base within 30 seconds*, the "keep warm" is kept alive. This is the first such kettle I've had with that nice little feature. It also has the fill lines on both sides of the outside. This is a medium-sized deal for me: I'm left-handed, so tend to keep the handle on the left. With every other kettle, the writing was only on the "right-handed" side, so I couldn't easily see it while filling the kettle. So that's a win. Finally, the other thing I've noticed is that the lid opens more than most. This one goes to just about 90 degrees; the others were more like 75. That helps when filling it. The "cost" of this feature is that instead of a thumb-lever to open the lid, you have to slide a button on the top. I don't mind this, because those thumb-levers always get flaky anyway as they wear. Now if it doesn't die within a few months, it'll keep this five-star review! Fingers crossed.
It's a good kettle that heats up very fast. I like the different temperature settings. I particularly like the "keep warm" feature. The filter is also a plus. The only area in with I'm disappointed in, is the alarm feature. It is very low in terms of volume. If I leave the room, I won't be able to hear it.
Works as promised. Cool on the outside. It is nice to have it clear so you can see just how much water is in there. Love it.
Broke right before the return window closed. Thats the good thing. After testing what went wrong or why the lights were blinking, i was able to figure out that the auto shut off feature is not working anymore. I just set it to 175f and it just kept heating and heating until the temp reached far above 200, based on my thermometer. When i recieved the kettle, the temp sensor worked perfectly because i did test it. When i picked it up and then put it back the error that occured was it beeped a few times and then all the lights would blink over and over. In the manual it says that is a boil over protection and that the heating element needs to cool down. Yesterday i only noticed because when i boiled water and vinegar it boiled over due to the super high temps and went everywhere, then the same thing happened with tea later and i wasnt there watching it that time.... Very disappointed in the product i received. I returned this one using amazons return policy and bought a new one in hopes that this was just a one-off mistake. I have been using this thing almost daily at 175f, i do like that it comes with a 1yr manufacturer warranty but i wonder how long and how much of a hassle it would be to get that fulfilled...UPDATE: Ive had the new one for a bit now and it seems to be working better. The one that brorke had gotten brown/discolored on the bottom but this one has not.
