Solid set of measuring cups and spoons with more measure options
I cook and bake. A lot. We rarely eat out or buy pre made desserts so I am pretty particular about my measuring cups and spoons. And in fact I have an older version of a similar product for measuring spoons which informed my decision here on which set to get.Lets break it down by set.Measuring Cups - Love the measuring cups for several reasons. I bought the colors set as I know from experience that you quickly start associating the color to the size. But these cups are also stamped/etched with the size of the cup not only in cups but also in ML. This is not printed on the cups but "impressed" or etched on each cup so it will not fade. I also really like the rubber cap on the wide handle. Makes for very easy and secure use of each measuring cup by providing a very good gripping mechanism. I lastly will recommend what I do which is to hand wash the cups. The concern I would have with a dishwasher is the heat degrading the rubber cap on the handle over time. The entire set is defined as dishwasher safe though.For the measuring spoons: Again be sure and get the colors. The spoons are not engraved with the measure but rather the measure is printed on the handle. In my older set all the printing has worn away with use. Which is fine because I am accustomed to a specific color equaling a specific measure. Luckily the new set has the same color coding as the old set but the new set has greater options of measure including a pre set 1/16 and 3/4 tsp. But if you buy the black set just know that over time you will have to be able to recognize the spoon by its capacity versus the color of the handle.Both sets are magnetic which really helps keep things organized in the drawer. I love that feature.This set also includes a leveler with the measuring spoons which I use on both the cups and the spoons when baking as that requires more precision.In short I can't recommend this highly enough (at least the colors version) and they are a fantastic quality for the price. You will have these for a really long time!
