Sticky

Super cute, sealed lid is perfect for keeping out ants etc, BUT it still gets the outside all sticky with drips when you use it. You have to rinse the jar after every use.

Great value for price. Works great.

This little honey jar is great. For those who buy in bulk, this is perfect as it is air tight; which is important. It has two lids both with a wooden honey dipper stick. The nice thing is that it keeps the honey from going all over the place when you have to try and squeeze it out. This is a typical glass mason jar type, which I believe glass to be superior to other materials. The size is perfect, not to small or to large. Easy use of honey to drip over biscuits or in tea. Would recommend for those who use honey occasionally or often. It keeps it air tight to prevent bacteria from forming. Honey will last a very long time up to two years when stored properly. This air tight jar will do the job.

Fits both Kerr and Atlas Mason Jars too! **Can be used on larger 24 oz/quart sized.

I LOVE that:*metal doesn’t touch the honey so it retains its health benefits*it comes with four dippers and four lids (two of each type) and two 16 oz jars*the jars are labeled with both ml and cups up the edges*it fits other Mason jars! I only had Atlas and Kerr to try, but both worked well!* it came with several so I can gift some or save them as backups or use all four at once since I have extra Mason jars.*the wooden one has a silicone piece to keep it more air tight and to hold the dipper up.*both lids easily fit the 16 oz size jars perfectly*if you go through honey and want to use it with a 24oz/quart size, it also works well! (Sorry the only 32oz quart size I could find had milk keifer, but I showed it in the picture for size reference.) Read for more info on how.I thought the metal lid with the white handle that holds the dipper in the lid was permanently fixed, but was delighted to learn that the white part is silicone and the dipper CAN be:**removed to use apart from the lid**height adjusted up or down 1/4-1/2” inside the white silicone handle in case the jar you are trying to use it in has a higher bump in the middle or is a little deeper**switched out to use the longer dipper from the wooden lid with the metal lid for larger 24/32oz jars and then use the shorter dipper with the wooden lid on the 16 oz size it comes with.Note: The honey dipper in the metal lid is a little shorter-see picture for comparison. The shorter/smaller dipper does not have the cut rings at the top of the stick that kind of catch and hold the dipper up in the silicone ring. This is not an issue using with the 16 oz jar but *could* eventually be on the 24 oz/quart size because the dipper is a little shorter. Brand new, the wooden lid holds the dipper without cutout rings up fine, but IF silicone gets loose over time the dipper may slip out of the hole. You can use:A-the metal lid with the shorter dipper on the 16 oz size.B-the wooden lid with the shorter dipper on the 16 oz size.C-the wooden lid with the longer dipper on the 16 oz size.D-the wooden lid with the longer dipper on the 24oz/32oz size. You will have to use the dipper separately to reach the bottom (I’m guessing the wooden one is meant to be used separately from the lid anyway.) To shut the lid fully, make sure the dipper is centered in the lid cutout (not hard to do).E-the metal lid with the longer dipper on the 24oz/32 oz size which *almost reaches the bottom while connected and then can be removed from the white silicone to use dipper separately to get the last of the honey as needed and when you refill the jar, return it into the white silicone lid handle until needed to reach the very bottom again.Overall, I’m impressed.

Good in concept, not so great in reality if you have old honey that crystalizes

There's nothing wrong with the quality of this product. It's just that the concept didn't work out the way I had hoped, at least for me. At first I used the metal lid that has the honey dispenser wand attached. That in and of itself was fine - a little awkward to use, though. The problem came when my honey crystalized. Granted, it was old honey that I had melted down previously. So maybe if you just get fresh honey all the time and use it up fairly quickly, you'd be fine. But for me, when it crystalized, it cemented in the wand and it took a lot of muscle to dislodge it. Actually, the end of the wand ended up coming off, but thankfully I was able to pop it back on. Not that it matters, though, because I don't intend on using that lid again. So I melted the honey down again, and this time I put in the separate wand and put on the bamboo lid that has a hold for the handle of the wand. I found I really liked using the separate wand better. All was going well until one day I tried taking the bamboo lid off and found that the silicone gasket around the inside of the lid inverted and made it nearly impossible to get the lid off. It took a lot of muscle, but my husband was finally able to dislodge it.So what I finally ended up with is that I place the bamboo lid on top of the jar, but just keep it situated on top of the jar's lip instead of nestling it down. I keep the separate bamboo wand in the jar, but am keeping an eye on the honey so that if/when it starts to crystalize again, I can remove the wand right away. Despite all the difficulties, I do think this is a step above just having a jar with a regular lid and using a separate metal spoon to scoop and dispense the honey. It is nice having the dedicated honey wand that stays in the jar.
