Very sturdy - great quality

These mashers are very good quality. They're sturdy and have a lightly padded rubbery grip so your hand doesn't slip if its wet and makes it more comfortable to use. I haven't used them for mashing potatoes yet, but I think they would make that job a breeze. Currently, I use the one with the small slots to mash blueberries for my daily protein yogurt. It works so well and so quickly! I was using a fork to smash them & it took so long and hurt my arthritic hands a lot. I also tried using a blender, but so much of the blended blueberries were stuck to the sides of the glass & the cover/blade. Since I use it every day, I hand wash it, but they are dishwasher safe.Overall, I'm very pleased with them and only wish I had found them much sooner!

This is my humble take on these smashers. They ar both solid made. Excellent size in the zig zag one. solid and perfect grip. no parts that food would get stuck causing a pain in the xxx to clean or miss if any. As for the round or I should say oval shape I'm not fond of that one. It's so big the oval shape makes it hard to store away also it's longer bigger overall. Now the Pros, It''s solid and the stainless steel is one solid part. Making it very clean cut so no food in crevices, forme that's so important because if you hand wash needs to be practical as well and the other ones in the market, they somehow have two pieces having some kind of joint where the food gets stuck and it's a pain in the xxx as well as not hygienic. I purchased 10 different ones and these pair was good price as well as good solid design.
