Heavy Duty and Beautiful Flatware - No Regrets

I just received these items and, since opening the package, almost all my worries about buying them are gone.The pros:I love the color. The black is unconventional and beautiful. The sheen is perfect. The shapes are very cool, too - they don't look like your standard flatware set. These are not lightweight utensils; they feel quite heavy and don't seem like they'll bend and lose their shapes. This set was pretty reasonably priced compared to other black flatware I looked at on Amazon.The unknown:Will the black come off? That remains to be seen, but the finish feels and looks very sturdy. I have a feeling these'll last a good while.Bottom Line:This is a well-priced, sturdy, and beautiful product that I highly recommend. Should I have trouble with the finish later, I will update.

Not black on the inside

I've been waiting a while to order this. I really like the design, and especially the BLACK!! However, after using the knives, I felt the blade was a little long and uncomfortable. I was hesitant to cut them down, because I didn't think they were solid black. They aren't, so now I have some black knives that are more ergonomic for me, except...... they have a silvery edge. Even if I knew for sure they were coated black, I still would have shortened them. Don't expect the black finish to last forever!

If I was to be picky, the only downfall is if you are setting a elegant dinner you will want to handle with gloves or a towel as fingerprints show up. Disappointed

I was so excited when I got this flatware last year, but have to say I'm not using it anymore. After about 11 mos of using this set, the black is starting to come off and I've found rust on a few pieces. It's very disappointing because it is such a beautiful set, but after time it is unusable.
