Easy to attach; no glue or screws needed!

Exactly what I needed to attach my hand-crafted bolo ties to a rotatable acrylic display case. First checked my local ACE store for lazy susan kits, but learned they no longer stock them. So this was a substitute that pleasantly surprised me with its easy of use. In fact, I was expecting to have to glue or screw the mount to both the base of the case and a board underneath. Instead, the item is pre-assembled and heavy enough to stay where its put AND to easily move the case around. Wonderful.

Does everything But work!

After unpacking this, I attempted to rotate the turntable by hand and found that rotating approximately one half rotation it stuck to the point where I could not rotate it by hand. After trying several more times, I concluded that maybe it needed to be lubricated. There is a threaded hole on the outside edge that is sealed with a hex set screw. As I removed the set screw, I was surprised at how deeply engaged it was and wondered if that was why the turntable was getting stuck at one point. I applied more than 1/2 bottle of 3-in-1 oil to the point where it was leaking between the inside and outside ring and then tried to rotate the turntable again. It improved the ease of rotation slightly, but it still absolutely stuck at one point. Yes, I cannot send it back fast enough and will not be re-ordering another one of these! Future Amazon purchasers, if you receive one of these, and it immediately smells like 3-in-1 oil, send it back! As with many other items, I believe Amazon just puts returned products back into a new bag and puts them back on a shelf so the next customer can suffer with it. 45 minutes of my time and 1/2 bottle of 3-in-1 oil. As you can imagine I will probably not get so much as a "we are sorry" for wasting your time with this defective product.
