I keep the 1/2 measuring cup in my laundry powder. For my washing machine, I pour half of that in my pre-wash dispenser and the other half in the wash dispenser. It's very sturdy, no welded parts, all one stainless steel piece. Feels great on the hand. This is a great item if you bake a lot. Especially bread. Measuring out 2 cups at a time saves a lot of time. I bought this for my niece. I already have one and reach for it all the time.
