Love that this jigger has the spout. Physics, simple physics allows me to not spill all over the place. Easy to read measurements make this better than those 2 sided ones without a spout. Love it! Make cocktails taste great with a well measured and balanced drink.Bought it also for a friend!
Seems to be a pretty quality jigger, solid and heavy enough, feels good. Internal fill lines aren't that fine, and measurements aren't that clear. But works well enough for me, plus this is only one of a few jiggers I use. The 2oz mark is below the brim of the jigger, which is nice, gives some headroom and minimizes spilling. The pour spout works, but who cares, you can pour from anywhere along the brim. Mixing cocktails is a craft, not chemistry, so accuracy has some tolerance. Country of origin on the packaging says China in case you are wondering.
I loved the cleanliness of this single jigger and the typical one drip all over the place and make a mess. Easy read measurements on the interior! Great quality anf pretty heavy duty, will last for every and likely wont dent, if accidentally dropped on floor.
What I liked:It's nice having a jigger that you can measure 2 oz. in and still have some room to move around without spilling. It is a decent weight, and the base is solid.What I was on the fence on:- It seems to be a "generous" pour, meaning that compared to my multiple other jiggers, the ounce marks don't quite match up. For example, a 2 oz. pour in this one will overflow a 2 oz. pour in my other ones. But on the flip side, I guess if you're measuring everything from the same utensil, it doesn't really matter? But then again, sometimes 2 ounces should be 2 ounces...It also has a little pouring spout, which I didn't initially notice from the product pics. While it does work okay, it's functionally useless in the sense that you can pour it from any side with the same results.The other thing I noticed was that while it does have marks for finer measurements like 1/4, 1/3, etc., they're sort of tough to see towards the bottom. Perhaps why double-sided jiggers are a thing. Who knew. But if you are dealing with .5 through 2 oz., it would do you fine.In the long run, I guess what I would say is that if you are just looking for something that will measure ingredients and don't care about the minutia of calibration, it is fine. But if you are hyper-critical about that extra .125 oz., this one might bug you.
I mostly like this jigger. The rainbow metal is nice looking. The spout is good at preventing drips. I like that you can read it from above and that the measurements are embedded in the metal rather than printed on, so they can wear off. What I’m disappointed by is the measurement lines, they’re above the volumes rather than in line with them. It’s a bad scale. Once you adjust to using it it’s fine, but I with the volumes and lines were at the same level.
The base isn't flat so it wobbles, the silver finish has black spots on it that appear to be ink or oil and are very hard to remove, and there is a large dent in it. I purchased a new one but this must be used or they have very poor quality coontrol.
I'm always running out of these measures to make cocktails - they get misplaced or I forget to wash them, then suddenly I'm in the market for a martini and I'm out of luck. Plus, the double-sided ones are really a mess if you have to use both sides.Enter this golden goose right here - it's easy to read the measurements, it's solid metal, so it's super sturdy while being very elegant looking, and all of that equals a great combination of price and value and functionality. It's a perfect fit in my midcentury modern bar, and since it's a more substantial, one-sided jigger - it's easier to clean in the dishwasher as well.
