Great dog treat molds!
I bought these to make dog training treats. I was pleased to see they were about 0.5" * 0.5", perfect size for training treats! These were rather flimsy when filling *but* found found out why later. I bough star molds of a similar size from a different seller. They were more sturdy but a huge pain. When filling these molds be sure to have a thinner dough. (Try not to use chunks of foods like whole oats- grind those up some or you'll have more issues) Then use a rubber spatula to spread across the whole mold mat. After going every direction, remove the excess by using the straight edge of the spatula or a table knife to remove excess. The best way I found was the direction where you start at the pointy heart bottom then drag up. Then the hearts stay filled. The heart molds being more flimsy made it so after the treats were completely baked you flip them upside down on parchment paper and as they cool they pop out. The ones that didn't wiggling the map popped them out.I baked the treats @250°F for 15 minutes. The removed from molds. Then popped the treats back in the oven for another hour @250°F to get them nice and dryed for a better shelf life.To wash them was extremely easy, put them in soapy water to soak 5 minutes, wiped with a sponge, rinsed and nothing stuck. The molds being flimsy helps with this!!! Definitely will be getting more of these!
