Works great on stubborn vacuum sealed lids!
I bought this because I struggle with those tight salsa and pickle jars. The stainless steel tool is actually much sturdier than it looks in the photos. It’s easy to adjust the size, and it gives you enough leverage that you don't have to strain your wrists. The red gripper pads are a nice bonus for smaller bottles, too. I ended up opening every jar in my pantry just to test it out! Definitely a must-have if you have arthritis or just hate struggling with lids. Great value for a 2-pack.

Works ok
This works good on certain bottles they need to open, it's not perfect but on the things that it does work on it works really nice, but some of the bottles it doesn't seem to want to equip very well so I think the teeth could be a little bit further out with a little more bite to them so that they'd really clamp on to something because the Clapping action works out fine it just the teeth don't seem to be long enough to really bite on

It works, teeth can be damaging
This works perfectly on all size jars. It takes a little finagling to get the grip correct. While the teeth may not grip perfectly around the jar depending on size and curvature, it does grip! Perhaps a little too well. If you're using this on decorative jars it will leave marks in the top. I highly recommend only using this on disposable jars. It may be ok if you put a towel or the grippy pads over it.I tried using this on a jar with a 4.5 inch lid with perfect success. There was still room for larger lids. The trick is to line the teeth up completely flush to the jar lid. Then, push the anchor piece in place so it is at a 90 degree angle to the handle. Then, clamp down and turn. The lever sometimes has a little difficulty anchoring the ridges on the inside of the opener. Maybe the ridges could be a little more pronounced. It's well-made and sturdy. It doesn't feel like it will break easily.Overall, it makes difficult jars much easier to open. Sometimes the red grippy pads are all you need. I only wish there was a better way for it to bite so I can use this on my stubborn decorative jars!

Arthritis friendly
I have arthritis in my hands, it's winter so it hurts a lot at times to bend or move. I have not been able to open some bottles of sparkling Welches that I purchased in November!! I pulled these out of the packet and I was so curious I just tried to open a small bottle, OMG, I tried without the opener and nope ... That was harder than running a 25 second mile lol. I used the gripper and in two seconds later I am enjoying my red one as we speak!! I finished it before the review so I can focus! The value for the money is worth it. Despite not being able to bend my middle finger, it allowed me to grip the handle with ease it took me two seconds to!! While I appreciate the quick ability to open the small jar, I can't wait to try something bigger! I don't have anything at the moment but I will have to figure it out. I am super excited that now I can use some of the groceries that have and I can stop ordering stuff with poptops as for tonight I have found another reason to smile today! It is small light weight, you can rest it in the drawer or depending on the hook you can hang it up using the handle with the bottle opener. The grip rounds are decent. I already use these on the weekly basis I used the same opener to open a bottle of water, was a little more difficult because the seal had been broken and it's so small but it did come off at an angle and fell 😂 but I'll have to test it on the next closed one. The quality feels nicely made. The grip rounds did well opening a jar of hair grease. Great purchase!!

Doesn't work on larger caps.
It doesn't lock on common larger jar caps. Handle is too kshort to get good leverage.

Good for a last resort opener
This set comes with 2 jar openers, 2 keychain bottle openers and 2 rubber hand grip jar openers. The bottle openers are lightweight. They work as expected and are good to have handy. I keep on in the kitchen and one on my keychain. Very simple, but works great. The bottle opener being lightweight helps keep my keychain from getting out of control, too!The rubber grip jar openers are nice. Exactly the same as the ones I used growing up. These are a first to try having any trouble opening the jar. Most of the time, it is enough to get a jar open. For the jars that are extra stubborn, the jar openers work great. You just slide the opener tight with the lid, clamp down and twist. It is worth noting, that for very stubborn jars where you need the teeth of this jar opener to really bite into the lid, it WILL cause marring on your jar lids. (You can see an example of this in my photos). So, you might not want to use this on a jar that you want to keep looking pretty. That said, this opener WILL open a jar. Having the long handle really helps with leverage so that you're not having to exert yourself too much. This is not a jar opener I will use everyday, but I am glad to have it on-hand for when all of my other attempts to open the jar fail. I have not found a jar yet that this opener could not open.Getting a set of 2 openers, 2 rubber grips, and 2 bottle openers, I find this to be a very good price. The tools are durable and should provide many years of reliable use.Very happy with these openers!
