simple, works great

Great for bread or pastry storage. Has a zipper on it. We put the bread in, zip it up, and fold the excess under the loaf. Works great, has a nice appearance. If bread gets moldy, you can gently turn the bag inside out and wipe it down with a water/vinegar mix and let dry. No hot water!

Impressed

Love and will probably buy more! I didn’t realize it had a zipper and that was a happy surprise! I put my first 2 day old sourdough that was almost hard but too early to throw away into the bag as soon as it arrived: the next morning somehow it was softer! And kept my loaf for an additional 3 days for my mom to try. There wasn’t any more after that. 🤗

Well made bags that do the job.

These beeswax bread bags seem to do what they are supposed to do.They are well made with nice stitching and an interior that is definitely some form of wax. I have no way of knowing if it’s beeswax or not though. The lining is well made and easy to keep clean as long as you shake out any crumbs. You also need to make sure that you bread is cool so that you don’t introduce condensation that will negatively impact both your bread and your bags. The zipper is a creat way to close the way portion of the bag.The exterior canvas is nice enough but the screen printing on the bag isn’t perfect. That is aesthetically ok but could be better. It’s not impactful to the function of the bag.The plastic clips make for a nice handle for either carrying the bag or hanging it to dry when you clean it.

Spacious, well made, wax-lined (beeswax??) bread bags

I've been baking sourdough loaves for a few years now and I always make at least two loaves and then when they've cooled down I slice them, wrap them in beeswax coated paper with a wraparound tie, and then put that into a Ziploc bag that I suck the air out of. It's a great way to store the already baked loaves for long-term use. Then when I need a few slices I just take them out of the freezer on an as needed basis and toast them. The beeswax lined paper that I've been using does a great job of keeping the sourdough bread fresh and free of freezer burn damage. The authentic beeswax coated sheets that I have however, are not big enough though for my larger boule loaves, so I usually just put those into regular wax paper and then two larger size Ziploc bags.I got these wax lined bread bags specifically for storing my larger sourdough loaves in the freezer once they've cooled down.Whether they are actually beeswax is questionable. They definitely have wax in them, I crumpled the inner lining to verify that it wasn't just plastic but rather had a wax coating on it which you can verify by the crumple marks that are left behind ( a plastic liner would not leave visible crumple marks)But they don't smell like beeswax so they may just be yellow colored paraffin. Which is the same kind of wax on wax paper. But for my purposes they work just fine because I'm freezing them anyway. The outer cotton portion of the bags are well constructed with a zippered top to keep them completely closed and the inner contents fresh. They also have a snap top ties to make the top enclosure smaller which seems a bit superfluous.Note that They are Made in China so their claims that they're using organic cotton I DEFINITELY take with a grain of salt, since things coming out of China with the "organic" labeling is often just Creative Marketing. You can easily clean the inner lining by rinsing out the bag and then leaving it upside down to air dry. Alternately, per the creatively worded semi-english on the box, you can pull the wax covered fabric lining inside out and rinse it off that way. They recommend not immersing the whole bag and certainly not washing it in warm water because it clearly is a wax lining.Wax would get soft and melt under warm water so definitely rinse with cool water. And then don't use them for anything except for bread so rinsing out the bread crumbs is easy. If you keep them free of mold you'll never need to use soap to clean them.Make sure your loaves are completely cool before putting them into the bag so they don't give off condensation leading to mold on the bread. For the current $16 price point for two of these large bags, I highly doubt that the lining is beeswax or at least not 100% beeswax because Beeswax is pricey. As would be organic cotton. So the price I think indicates what the actual product components more likely are made of.In any case, they are a great addition to my sourdough bread storage especially for my larger loaves.Highly recommended if you have larger homemade bread loaves or other baked goods that you want to effectively store, either in the freezer or on your countertop.
