These are gorgeous! They make a beautiful presentation for cold apps. I purchased two 16” x10” and they’re the perfect size for fruit, cheeses, sushi assortment, etc. The slates were very carefully wrapped/packaged. And two small sticks of chalk were included!

We have some beautiful antique oak side tables that we constantly are setting cups and plates on. I've tried doillies (just not granniechic enough for that), hand painted tiles (quickly started to ruin the clear coat), actual decorative trays (but the rim creates problems), and of course, regular old coasters (but they just aren't big enough and many drinks still sweat right over them).We like a traditional / rustic vibe for the house, so these trays are perfect. They will protect the natural wood in a minimalist, understated kind if way. The price was great, especially considering the thickness of the slate. They are nice and sturdy, should work for all kinds of purposes, and be easy to clean. I love them!

This set of 2 slate boards is useful and fun. They are large at about 16 in x 10 in. Good heavy weight. There are circular rubber tabs on the bottom of each of the 4 corners to protect your surfaces. Well packaged/protected on arrival.They are good looking and fun to use—a change from wood and ordinary dishes. A beautiful display and contrast for most things you will put on it. Included are 2 skinny sticks of chalk for you to use to identify the contents of the board.Roughly about 1/4 inch thickness but as expected with a natural rock, it will vary in texture and thickness. Also naturally rough on the sides so take care with any sharp points.
