Works well as weed trimmer blades
I frequently find alternate uses for items. So these can opener blades were perfect for use in my electric weed trimmer. That was designed to have a couple of hard plastic blades, which quickly fractured or abraded away upon impact against curbs. I tried other plastic blades and soft steel blades, which weren’t much better.Now, with these stainless steel blades, my weed trimmer has excellent cutting performance and durability. The stainless steel is hard enough and the right shape to easily slice through vegetation. Impacts on curbs hardly hurt the blades, though obviously the curb does get scuffed a little more. The only downside is the length of the blades is about 1cm shorter than optimum, but still very usable. This is a great time-saver, because now I don’t need to stop often to replace blades.
