Useful in tight, hot spots and rotisserie
These are a well made and useful set of hot plate grippers. I've never had kitchen tools like these before. But, I've found a few uses for these already. They do have advantages where oven mitts are too bulky or not dexterious enough.I have a set of small bakeware with tiny handles, these grippers hold them easier than oven mitts. I have 4 tiny cast iron pans for making egg patties on the stovetop, these grippers are the best I have to safely handle my tiny hot cast iron. I also have a rotisserie and these grips are excellent for lifting the center stick to take the meat out. Also great for lifting and moving hot grates on grill or smoker. Strong, easy to hold, protects fingers from burning.

Handy for Tight Spaces, a Must-Have Item I Didn't Know I Needed
I picked these up on a whim after scorching my hands one too many times on “microwave-safe” containers, and they immediately proved useful in a couple of real-life situations. I was super excited to finally get a tool to help with taking hot items from the Air Fryer, toaster oven, and microwave. I had previously used pot holders, so this is a step up from that.This set comes with a set of 2 grippers. These feel well made and I expect them to be very durable.The bottom piece has a red silicone pad attached to provide for better gripping on plates and bowls, however the top does not. This will work great for bowls and plates, but I would hesitate to use with items like non stick pans as that top piece might scratch the pans as that metal doesn't have a very smooth finish on the edge.

Excellent in place of oven mitts for hot plates and trays.
Trying to wrangle my big, oversized oven mitts into the small space of my microwave to pull out a hot bowl has been really difficult - enter this plate gripper. I have used it on ceramic bowls and plates as well as in my toaster oven and air fryer to grip the edges of hot trays - it works wonderfully! Even heavy bowls and trays full of food feel secure when held by the gripper, and I feel I have a lot more control over them than I do when wearing clunky oven mitts. Getting two in a pack is a great deal for something so useful. The construction is secure and the materials are quality. I will always have these on hand as they are incredibly helpful in my kitchen.

Handy if you use steamer a lot
The product comes with two grippers. The gripper is made of stainless steel, one hand of the grip has dot dented metal, in collaboration of the other hand with silicon pad.The grip is slightly curved, which helps to prevent hands no hit board or touch the super hot steamer.For microwave use, it is better to grab hot plate. For steamer, it is better to handle bow.Any shortcoming? I hope the grip handle has a latch, to keep the handle in close position for easy storage.

This gripper definitely holds stronger than expected. I was surprised it could handle a full sheet of food without slipping. It is great for the small opening in my toaster oven.
