Only good for very light and small pans. The red ones pad melted getting some fries from the air frier and the final blow was the green ones handle breaking getting some nuggets out of the oven. Unless it was a small plate, the plate slipped out of the grips. Save your money and find a pampered chef party.
I saw these and hesitated the first time because how good could it be. I ordered them one time I needed an additional item to make next day delivery. I use it every day on the toaster oven tray. It really keeps the hot surface away from you. It is durable so far and a good item for gifting! I will buy again as needed!
I used them for the first time tonight to pull a round glass bowl out of the microwave and I could only use them to scoot the bowl out onto a hot pad. Would not close enough to pick up the bowl. Id call it a fail.
Tried it on a small bowl but the gripper just came off. Tried it on a larger empty bowl but the same result. Tried it on a microwave bacon cooker and it just total broke. If I had checked comments I would not have purchased it,.Don't purchase.
I used this for grabbing a hot bowl of boiling water with vinegar out of the microwave known for cleaning/sanitizing the inside. I used one of the tongs and it didn't grip the bowl properly. Perhaps I should have used two tongs. Wasn't that big of a bowl though. I got scalded badly.Maybe this thing will work better for plate handling. Hope so or I will be revising my review.Gave one to my daughter too.
So glad I found these. They are well made, and work perfectly. I keep one by my stove and one by my toaster oven.
Product has the right idea but it doesn't work. When you try to grab a bowl it just slips off and when grabbing a plate is the same.
