I prefer an even pour when filling cupcake pans or making pancakes, and this dispenser helps achieve. The design is functional, featuring an easy to pull trigger and a stable base that keeps it elevated off the counter. I did not spill a drop of batter using it.I tested the bottom seal with both pancake batter and water. While water leaked through, the batter stayed sealed, meaning the contents need to be somewhat viscous to work properly. My only critique is that I’d prefer a slightly larger bottom opening. the flow of standard Krusteaz pancake batter was a bit slow. Adding a touch of extra water and shaking the dispenser helps, but I would avoid adding any solids (like blueberries or chocolate chips) as they will likely clog the hole.I also performed a lead detection test on the metal, and the product appears to be lead-free.Cleanup was simple, and the plastic washer at the spout didn't trap any residue. I found that flipping it over and rinsing water directly into the spout worked well. Overall, I recommend this dispenser, provided you aren't using "chunky" batters.
