Work Perfectly in the Microwave!
5 stars!! Eureka! These have solved my LONG search for non-plastic and non-glass pans with enough of a rolled top lip that they are easy to grasp with pot holders, and they have fitted lids that can be used in the microwave. No more worries about microplastics or glass pans exploding in the oven either. I have puchased 4 each of the 67 oz. and the 94 oz. sizes. ALL 8 pans nest inside each other very compactly and the lids stack together neatly. They are VERY space saving AND unlike the new glass baking pans that I stupidly recently purchased to be rid of plastics (and am already giving away!), these pans are practically weightless by comparison, which at 74, my wrists and elbows really appreciate. Note that, these pans are non-magnetic SUS316 Stainless Steel pans and each labled as such. The reviewer who declaimed them as being TIN, did not do their research. These pans DO work IN THE MICROWAVE JUST FINE with no sparking, as well as in the oven, and they can be stored in fridge or freezer. They also clean easily as long as you grease the pans, the same as you would when using standard metal or glass pans for things like lasagna, etc. I've successfully cooked hamburger, pasta, casseroles, etc. in my microwave and oven using them. As another user cautioned just place the pan on your microwave's glass turntable. Don't push the pan up against any metal sidewalls in your microwave AND/OR if your microwave is like my GE unit and also has a wire rack that can be left in the microwave, don't put the pan on the rack. They also seal well IF you put the lid on properly. First push the middle orange button tab UP from bottom of the lid, it will pop up like a mushroom on the top of the lid. Second push the lid down firmly so all 4 sides of the lid gasket engage. Third, while pushing downward on the lid, push the orange button down, so it's flush with the lid and VOILA, you have a tight seal. Also, to ensure lid longevity, I plan to handwash, them. Truly, I can't speak highly enough about these pans. They meet all of my expectations beautifully. I just hope they will offer them with safe different outer colors eventually, like dark green, ruby red, turquoise, etc. I'd snap them up in a heart beat!
