Works better and stores slimmer than locking tongs. Hard boiled eggs are picked up easily with these older style tongs. And with locking tongs it is more difficult to pick up eggs. Very sturdy and good value
The tongs are well made, but the finger holes are smaller than our other tongs. Smaller even than the scissors on my desk. Other than that they are very nice.

These are so handy. They seem to be very sturdy. They came as a set of two.
Flimsy crap. Chrome finish lasted about a week. Plastic handle broke in less than a year. Not comfortable, not sturdy.
The handle holes are too small, I can only get my finger tips in. One pair operates as you would expect, the others is so tight my 6 year old could not open them... even though his is the only one who's hand fits them.
Too flimsy for me but perhaps ok for the price. They work, I just wanted stronger ones.
