These thermal carafe are wonderful. I tested one with boiling water and after 21 hours, the water was still as hot as when I started. And its easy to clean. After searching for 2 years for a decent brand and pretty much giving up, I've finally found the perfect thermal carafe .

This carafe has been my best friend through this cold winter weather. Its vacuum seal easily keeps my hot water for my tea hot all day long and it's so nice to have it right next to me in my office or craft room so I don't have to go back and forth to the kitchen. Two liters is plenty for me, and it's easy to pour with a press of the button. The non-slip base keeps surfaces protected and I verified by accident that it is indeed leak-proof and durable. The carafe itself is nice and sturdy, plus it looks nice and isn't too heavy, even though it is double-walled stainless steel. I've tried a few different carafes and I really like this one the best because it kept the water hot longer than any others. I feel like this is a great value at the price point and I'm very happy with it.
No instructions inside the box we purchased 2 of them in the morning we put our coffee inside of it went back a little later to get another cup and it was cold I was as mad as you know what so we had to go onto Amazon's page to find out what is going on found out you have to put hot water inside first to make this Carafe hot before you put coffee or anything else hot inside of it first we have never had a Carafe that we had to do that first plus no instructions on the box or inside the box that's why I gave it 4 stars now I put hot water inside of it to see if that works if not they're going back
The product description for this carafe claims 12 hours of hot water, and I always take these kinds of assertions with a very large grain of salt/eye roll. But this carafe legitimately keeps water piping hot for 12 hours. It's unbelievable how well it works! I heated up the water in a kettle, and transferred it into the carafe. At 12:30pm I checked the temperature (thermometer shown is NOT part of the carafe set, it's from a different French press set I have) and it was right around 190 degrees. I checked again at around 2pm, so about an hour and a half later, and it was holding steady at 190 degrees (although I snapped the photo a little too quickly and it looks like it was at 185, but it was really 190). Then I left it sitting on the counter for close to 11 more hours. At about 12:40am I checked the temp again and it was still 160 degrees! 12 hours after I filled this carafe, I used the water to pour myself a cup of hot tea and had to blow on it before taking a sip. Amazing! And for the price, double amazing!Aside from its incredible temperature-holding super powers, the carafe itself is really nice looking, great finish, not too heavy. The handle is sturdy and comfortable. And the bottom has a really nice rubber tread that keeps it from sliding, slipping, or damaging anything. The lid comes to a hard stop, so you can always tell if it's closed all the way because the arrow will line up. And the top has a press-to-pour opening so you can pour a cup without having to remove the lid. I absolutely love this thing!I drink a lot of hot tea throughout the day. Now, instead of having to put on the kettle every time I want a fresh cup, I can fill this thing up in the morning and have hot tea literally all day without touching the kettle again. Amazing!!
I had high hopes, but the pouring mechanism doesn't work right. Coffee just dribbles very slowly, and there doesn't seem to be any adjustment to the lid for it to pour properly. After several weeks of trying to use it, i'm returning it as defective. I wouldn't recommend it
I received this item at no charge at part of the Amazon Vine program. On first opening the box I did notice there were no directions for use, although it is a simple design and easy to figure out without any. The base of the pitcher has a nice grippy rubber base. The handle is easy to hold and feels sturdy. The carafe lid screws in tightly and when in the sealed position no liquid leaks out when held upside down. The interior is pretty deep and the opening too small for my hand to fit in easily so you would need a bottle brush or something similar to scrub the interior.
