I previously owned and used a smaller cake scraper, but it wasn’t tall enough for taller cakes and it was difficult to continue the pattern after moving it. These are great because they are plenty tall and have 4 different patterns to choose from rather than just 2 on the smaller one. They are a little heavier (as expected) but still not difficult to use. I hand wash them because my previous one rusted after one run in the dishwasher.
These stainless steel cake decorating tools are sturdy and I really like the different patterns they have for scraping the frosting when decorating cakes. I do wish that they had measurements listed -- not only for height knowledge but also because that could help when adding piping or decorations, to keep it straight or level.
