Nice proofing box, make sure to check size, it may be to small forvyour use
I have to state this before continuing. I am NOT using this for a proofing box, I ordered this to be used as a Sous Vide container. Please understand this as I continue to review these boxes. To use this asa Sous Vide container, I had to cut out a section of the lid - so the controller could go into the box. By using the lid you dont have so much water loss during cooking. These containers are ~6L sized which is great for smaller to mid sized items. I have a larger 16L box for larger or multiple items being cooked.I like that the box & lid are heavy enough to stay together at temps of 130-165°f for up to many, many hours at a time. So far, I've seen No signs of heat deformation or other things that would lead me to believe this is a bad thing to do with these containers. When these first arrived I did my typical initial inspection and didn't find any leftover manufacturing process substances such as excessive plastic shavings or other defects that would render these unusable. At this price point (~$21), I believe this is a good value. A quick search shows similar items costing between ~$20-35. Would I order these again? Yes, I believe I would. Specifically for this same use.Hope this helps.
