The best for homemade bread!
We bake all our own bread, and finding this amazing knife has made our lives so much easier. First off, the price is amazing, but the best part of this knife is the way it cuts and the wonderful blade, thick and solid! We can now cut bread right out of the oven after it has cooled, and get the perfect-sized slices thanks to a measurement scale on the side. Blade is very sturdy and doesn't bend at all (like some of our other "bread" knives). It feels good in your hand and is the best we've ever used. Great design and so easy to use. It also comes with a nice cover for the extra-sharp blade. Highly recommend!

The Best Bread slicer
This is the tool of tools for slicing bread! Very sharp as it should be and brings a knife guard for storage. I tried the bamboo bread cutting board with the different sized slits and my serrated knife. Not worth it. I was cutting slanted and into the bamboo. It was hard to slice. With the Syokami all you need is a flat cutting board and eye the size you want with a steady hand just glides thru the bread. Plus there are measurements on the knife itself to guide you if you like.

REALLY makes a difference
One of my biggest complaints about making bread is when the top gets squashed when I cut a loaf. That said, I wasn't born with the skills to do many simple tasks such as being able to tear waxed paper, foil or plastic wrap straight. I received this knife and it's a whole new ball game. I took some fresh sourdough bread to a family get together and it did a great job. That said, my brother-in-law thought I overthought such a simple thing and proceeded to squash the loaf with a regular serrated knife.This knife is incredibly durable which might lead some people think it's too big for the job---it's not. It assembles easily right out of the box. Line up the holes and tighten down the handle with the screws. Cleaning is a breeze and the blade can be re-inserted into the handy blade guard. I feel it's an excellent value for the money because it not only is well-made, but it does an excellent job protecting the integrity of the loaf. It's a little larger than most of our other knives, but it slips into other convenient spots.

It’s nice for the price
It’s a nice knife, It’s not magnetic at all. It cuts very well. Its adjustability to size is clumsy. I’m not sure how long it will last as quality is unsure as of now.
